You really make it seem so easy along with your presentation however I in finding this topic to be really one thing that I believe I’d never understand. It seems too complicated and very vast for me. I am taking a look forward on your subsequent put up, I’ll attempt to get the dangle of it!

Hi Alex! Is it one issue in particular you find too complicated or Lenormand in general?
If it’s Lenormand in general: where are you at – have you only just started out? If you are still in the process of getting to know the individual cards, then what I write here on my blog might be quite a few steps too far ahead for you to be comfortable with yet. If that’s the case I recommend you follow the step-by-step reading instructions on my website. And it’s also possible that my reading style and interpretation style doesn’t suit you! It might pay off to have a good look at other people’s writings or video tutorials!

Great blog right here! Also your web site lots up very fast! What web host are you using? Can I get your affiliate hyperlink on your host? I want my web site loaded up as fast as yours lol

Thank you :-)! I think the reason my website loads rather fast is that the design is very, very simple and out-of-date. I wrote the code for it myself; years ago; so there’s none of the fancy stuff that many pre-written website templates now use and which seem to slow things down a lot.
My host is hosteurope. But as I said: I’m not sure if the reason my website loads fast is their service or my old-fasioned code.

I am now not sure where you’re getting your info, however good topic. I needs to spend some time learning much more or working out more. Thank you for fantastic information I used to be searching for this information for my mission.

I wish you all the good luck in the world and much success with your mission, Alex! Finding out / working out things for yourself is probably a really good strategy – as long as you ask for help when you get stuck. This has always worked best for me, too – both for creating websites and for reading cards.

Alex, just for transparancy, I’ve removed several of your later comments because I assumed they were an error – they were saying basically the exact same thing as your comment at 17:49.
Maybe I misunderstood, I can’t quite figure it out: Is there anything concret you’d like to know?

Dear Anna,
I just love your card meanings. I find them easy to understand rather than memorize.
I would like to ask a question: How should I read yes/no questions? Do I have to count positive Vs negative cards? Is the first card the answer and the following its explanation? Is the last card the final answer?.I am confused…
Thank you,
Gabriela

Dear Gabriela,
I’m glad that you find my cards easy to understand!
Concerning your question:
Yes, I have seen many people just count “negative” and “positive” cards and interpret a majority of positive cards as a yes, and a majority of negative cards, a no. There are several reasons why I don’t like this approach. One is that in my view the negativeness and positivness of most cards depends a lot on context; there are in my opinion very, very few cards (if any) that are completely one or the other. So it makes little sense to me to just count them that way.
Other approaches, like the ones you mentioned, you can find in other people’s writings – I personally don’t ask yes/no questions of the cards, so I can’t really discuss the issue of how to answer them, unfortunately.
Since I don’t believe that the cards can tell the future, or know what is going on in a third party’s mind, asking yes/no questions doesn’t make sense to me. What I would do is rephrase. For example, I wouldn’t ask “Should I do X?” but “What are positive or negative consequences if I do X? What are positive or negative consequences if I don’t?” and do two separate string readings for these two scenarios. Or, if a querent wants to know “Will X happen?” I would rephrase this question into “What can I do to make it more likely to happen?”, or, if it’s something negative, “What can I do to make it less likely that it happens?”
Sorry I couldn’t help out more!

Thank you very much Anna. The examples are very clear to me.
I believe rephrasing my questions will help me a lot. That is a very positive and intersting way to approach this problem. It also gives more responsability to the querent in terms of what would happen in his/her future. Thank you again!

“It also gives more responsability to the querent” – exactly! I’m glad I could help a bit after all!

Hi Anna, I love your detailed interpretations website and artwork… thanks for creating! I have a question about one of your keywords pages. I have a 5 card reading which is so completely accurate. And just wanted your advice. I have also pinpointed 2 cards which I feel absolutely represent the two people involved. When I mirror these, the mirror cards exactly matches the energy / actions of what the people are doing (your ‘as a person’ keywords are great!). Would you think this the best place to look for advice / best course of action for them to take as individuals? Also, I was wondering in the ‘advice’ keywords section, how would you read when to take the regular (e.g. Ship -Make a change!) or the negative (e.g ship – Is it time to commit?)?
LikeLike
Dear Lucy,
regarding your question about when to take the regular or the negative advice section:
Some people might say that the negative advice applies when the card turns up upside-down. I personally would not do that. In my view there is no definite answer to your question that is independent of the context of the reading. Which advice applies will depend a lot on the person the card relates to. Is the person someone who has a tendency to leave when things become difficult? In such a case, the card probably says that going against these tendencies and making a commitment to stick with it and work it out might be productive this time. If, however, the person tends to commit too easily and maybe even too intensively, or tends to be conservative even when that holds them back, then, the advice “make a change” is likely to be the more fitting one. So, you have to look at the personality of the person you are reading for, but also at what, in their concrete situation, is more healthy. Take the same person from before, the one who has a tendency to leave when things become difficult, and does so even in situations when sticking it out would be an opportunity to grow. But in regarding the concrete situation you are reading the cards for, the person is rather uncharacteristically sticking with something that is NOT good for them (e.g. they are commited to someone who verbally abuses them). Then, even for that person, in this particular case, the Ship even to them almost definitely says “Make a change / leave!”
I hope this helped a bit!
Regarding your first question: “Would you think this the best place to look for advice / best course of action for them to take as individuals” I am not sure I understand what you mean. Can you rephrase for me? I’m mostly confused abouit what you mean be “this” (“this is the best place” – which place?).

Hi Anna,
I just wanted to say hello and to express how helpful your combinations are. They always go way beyond the first layers of interpretation and, quite often, give contrasting and even opposing scenarios for the same combination, which speaks volumes as to the real complexity of situation in life but also taps into our intuition as we glean which of the contrasting scenarios the answer is pointing at. Thanks to you Lenormand is now my preferred avenue for oracular clarity. So it’s mostly just a comment of appreciation! And well, I love your articles. Please write some more! There’s few resources like yours on the internet and we appreciate them. I am very much a fan of the crossroads and rock article.
Would you consider writing a series of articles on tips for reading a grand tableau?
That would be amazing!
Thank you and a blessed 2020 to you.

Dear Nunki Savior,
I’m happy to hear that my combinations have been so useful to you! The combination method is the reason why I’ve come to prefer Lenormand to Tarot; it’s such a creativ tool!
I must admit I stopped writing articles regularly because they got so few views and so little feedback that I felt it wasn’t worth the effort. I will definitely write more if inspiration strikes, but at the moment I’m… uninspired, unfortunately 😉
Regarding Grand Tableaus: in case you haven’t seen it yet, on my website I have an article about three different ways of using the Houses. It’s on my website, starting from the main menu under “spreads” and then “grand tableaus”.

Hi,
How would you interpret the following cards in the sequence given below in a reading where the question was whether X and I will meet/talk again and how things will develop?
The Ship (1st card) + the Heart (middle card) + the Letter (last card)

That’s difficult; your question seems to be two-fold, and one of the questions is a yes/no question which I usually would discourage from asking altogether. Also, without knowing the context, the same cards could mean different things for different people. Broadly, I can only come up with:
That, if you want things to stop stagnating, if you want anything new to develop regarding your feelings, you will have to communicate, express yourself openly. Maybe you will be happy with the outcome, but even if you won’t, at least you will then have a better chance to eventually feel freed and to move on.

I was given the following:
The first card suggests present distance between you two. If it is not physical distance, it is surely an emotional one. This tells us that for the present and for the near future you two will continue to be at a distance (most likely for the next 3 months). However, the centre of the spread is the quintessential card of love – HEART – the card of love, romance and passion. This shows that there is an emotional connection at the basis and that he cares for you. It shows that there is potential for the future and that slowly you two can reduce the distance between each other. LETTER is the card of communication, in all forms, but mostly using the written word. So the answer is yes, I do see you talking again, developing a written communication (emails, letters, social media, text). The timeline comes from HEART – the month of July. A third party seems to be the subject of the initial conversation, or the reason you two restart the talks.
